NORTEAM SHIPPING SERVICES, INC. is committed to provide its customers with qualified/competent seafarers and services
that continually meets all statutory or regulatory requirements and exceed customer needs and expectations.


The company is in business to provide high standards of crewing services through the relentless pursuit of continual improvement
in safety and quality management system. The successful implementation of which will benefit also the Customers through quality seafarers
so that life, property and the environment are not jeopardized.




Accounting

Since the company's existence, it has built up a reputation among its seafarers, Principals and trade creditors as a straightforward company with regards to its monetary obligations. Our books are open for the Principals' scrutiny and audit.



➢ It is our policy to remit timely the monthly allotments of its seafarers.
➢ No delays in special remittances. These will be remitted within two working days upon receipt of advice from vessels.
➢ Re-hire bonus and standby pay are paid within three working days prior to the seafarers' departure as stated in the company's program.
➢ Last wages are paid to the off-signers within two working days upon reporting to the office.
➢ Payables to other creditors are disbursed as per due date.
➢ Foreign exchange as per official banking rate.

Recruitment

The company recognizes that safe and efficient operation of a vessel is greatly dependent on the qualification, training, expertise and experience of the staff appointed to the vessel.

Any violation of said policies shall be strictly dealt with in accordance to the Code of Discipline.



➢ To create and maintain a pool of competent seafarers for the company's manned fleet.
➢ To employ sea staff who are duly qualified according to mandatory rules and regulations to serve in the rank they have been selected for.
➢ To employ only those seafarers who are mentally/physically sound, medically fit and free from abuse of habit-forming drugs and abuse of alcohol.
➢ To employ seafarers who have previous experience of the same or similar vessels to their assignment. Or in the absence of experience, has attendedthe requisite training from a reputable school and accredited applicable administrations.
➢ To employ seafarers who can adequately understand and speak the English language.
➢ No person below the minimum age of 18 shall be employed or engaged or work on a ship.
